Great recording seems to get especially sweet for the 2nd set. Best part - a quiet attentive audience during the songs. "To lay Me Down" is a solid version
...
(great jerry vox) but a quiet crowd makes it esp. sweet on this great sounding aud.
The perf is solid nothing over the top just a very good night of 80's GD. This night/recording would have fit a definition of "epic" had they put it in cosmic overdrive and melted faces in the second set.
Well worth the DL if you like 1980.

I'm surprised this show is not reviewed more often and rated more highly. This is a top notch audience, up there with the best of them. The sound is
...
full and clear. The crowd, while present, does nothing to detract, and in my opinion adds to the quality of the tape. I've poked around these late 80 audiences lately and there is alot of good stuff from Swing and Long Beach out west, this southern run, and the Radio City shows, and this one does more than holds its own with those others. The pre-drums list is very interesting, and the To Lay Me Down is a spine tingler.

If it wasn't for the SBD recordings this would be a really good recording of this show. They must have been recording from one side of the stage as some
...
instruments are very clear and others less clear. In the old tape days this would have been considered excellent. The sound board recording of this show is better though it has some tape hiss. Peggy-O is great. Jerry's vocals are clear.Sugar Magnolia one of the best I have heard.
